Moongalba was also used by Oodgeroo Noonuccal as an educational centre. Oodgeroo, or Kathleen Jean Mary Ruska was my Grandma Lucy's youngest sister. In 1988 she adopted the name Oodgeroo (meaning paperbark tree).
