About Steven:

Steven is a multidisciplinary artist based in Naarm, Victoria. Naturally drawn to different mediums & styles, he found his love of ceramics & sculpture after experimenting with different clays. He continues to explore textiles, digital art, simple at-home crafts, watercolours and a variety of other mixed media projects. Steven is self-taught, and has sold works in Australia, the US and UK. He also completed a Bachelor of Music as a singer, and will take any opportunity to bring it up at a party.

Inspired by a lifetime of video games, tamagotchis, and the 'pareidolia' faces we see in power point holes or wood grain, he explores the way we relate to shapes and apply meaning to simple patterns.

Steven loves to sculpt creatures that toe the line between literal frozen-in-stone monsters and cartoonish representationalism.
