About Chloe:

My name is Chloe Blades and I’m a writer and bookseller in Auckland, New Zealand practicing the therapy of art. Healing from loss, I wanted to cast a colourful, abstract light on the female body as I rebuilt a relationship with my own. Experimenting with bold, simple outlines and backgrounds, I found a joy in the optimism of this new perspective, enabling me to sympathise more with things that on the outside appear uncomplicated.

My work is currently for sale in Te Uru Art Gallery, Titirangi, and created while my baby naps or breastfeeds; it’s all about the boobs these days. The different colourways are a homage to the women who helped restore most of my marbles!
