About Charlotte:

Charlotte Guest is a painter, writer, and bookseller based in Geelong, Victoria. Originally from Western Australia, Charlotte has spent most of her career in the books industry (writing, publishing, and bookselling) but has always had a love for art and making. During the first round of COVID lockdowns in 2020, she found some old watercolour paints in a cupboard and began to paint still life arrangements to pass the time. Eighteen months later and Charlotte has an emerging arts practice and her very own home studio. She has exhibited in local group shows, is stocked in boutiques across Victoria, and has been featured in Australian and international art magazines. Her paintings are inspired by local bird life, domestic scenes, and wildflowers, and aim to celebrate the small beauties of everyday life. She lives with her partner, Ben, who is a framer and art technician, and their two cats Janine and Clyde.
